Before they became industry leaders, however, the duo discovered the world of real estate through their mothers. “Both of our mothers were top producing agents in Wellesley and owners of the firm. What an amazing legacy that after being reared on the business and working at Rutledge Properties for 20-plus years, we are also now proud owners,” Lawrence says. 

“We’ve been an independent, boutique, woman-owned real estate firm since 1978, and we plan to stay that way. We’ve been able to withstand the presence of the larger chains in our marketplace because we consistently offer something they can’t: in-depth, hyper-local knowledge and service, which is all about the client, all the time,” Lawrence adds. “We don’t have to answer to anyone but ourselves.
